ECU Codes and Procedures:
From the 1991 FSM (B13)
In order to retrieve codes from the ECU, you must pull the trim pieces off of the center console by the drivers and passengers feet. There are 4 phillips head screws holding the ECU in, 2 on each side. Nissan was kind enough to install the ECU with the screw and LED facing the firewall, so it must be pulled out to read. After unscrewing it, lift it up and turn it counterclockwise, so you can access the screw and read the LED. To display any stored codes, turn the ignition on, and turn the screw next to the LED all the way clockwise for 2 seconds, then back.
